"You're wrong. Given all this, it was most decidedly not the right wine choice." Damn that. A lot of pieces short of perfection, but nothing he couldn't work with. Because Oswald was right about something else. They did just fit. He leaned in to kiss him again, softer this time, slower. To give himself time to process it happening and to pay attention to whether any desire to hurt him was stirring inside him. Not more than usual so far. Good.
Oh, more kissing? He liked that. He definitely liked the kissing. He moved a little closer and snaked his arms around Edward's waist so he could get even closer, drawing the other in. The kiss was longer this time yet sweeter, making Oswald's heart positively melt. He loved Edward, he really did, he knew that it was still so early and love was a complicated beast but the way he felt about him as unmistakable. There was no denying it. As he pulled back from the kiss, he leaned forward and rested his head against the other's shoulder, holding him properly now. Like lovers could. "You have made me so very happy. I only hope I can repay you in kind."
"I believe that in this case we are dealing with basic alchemy." Wait, that was one of these references that only made sense in his head, wasn't it? "The laws of equivalent exchange apply here, Oswald. You do not need to repay me. This isn't a favour I'm doing you." That said he looked around, his smile widening into a grin as he made sure nobody else was to be seen or heard. He lowered himself to his knees slowly, since he knew how to take a cue, even if he was the one giving him. "But I could do you one, if you wanted."
Said, kneeling in front of and looking up at him, his hands gripping Oswald's hips.
"I guess it was the wrong words. Less repay and more share. I want us to feel the same. Loved. Happy. I want those things for us." Yes, he was sentimental at heart but it didn't detract from what he was. He was still a brutal man, a murderer and a kingpin, he was still enough of a draw that he knew he could keep Edward but he cared enough to be invested in him too. As Edward slipped down onto his knees, he naively thought it was some strange gesture, a play about with the whole 'king of Gotham' thing, a mock bow perhaps.
And then he saw that smile, the way he looked, those hands on his hips and -- oh. "You don't have to do a single thing for me you don't want to do Edward but if you insist..." He let the sentence trail off with a smirk as he let his hands go down, running them through Edward's well tamed hair, ruffling it free of all the gel that slicked it back.
Following impulses definitely seemed to be the way to go then - as long as none of them were killing impulses - so it was with a certain air of smugness that he kept looking up at Oswald as he undid his belt, opened his trousers and then let his fingers roam. Hard, because of him. Eager for him. There was a rush to this knowledge, a powerful feeling, knowing he could command such desire. "I do insist."
Oswald had never really do anything like this. He'd had people try, they always tried. When he was king of Gotham, many girls hit on him and got nowhere. He never had the interest. He didn't date, he didn't want girls and until now, he'd never really known why. Now, looking down at Edward, on his knees and wanting him, he knew exactly what he'd wanted all along. Someone like Edward. Handsome, smart, vicious and brilliant. His prince charming. This was the most turned on he'd ever been and that really wasn't a hard contest to win. "You might quite a sight on your knees like that. So ... dashing."
What could he do at that but chuckle? Dashing. Well, if he said so. No, Edward didn't know how to do this, not based on experience, but if so many uneducated idiots could, why wouldn't he be able to? It really couldn't be all that difficult, based on all the research he had been able to do over the years.
His suspicion was proven right when he touched Oswald in the ways he knew felt good to be touched in and when he took him into his mouth and he felt him shudder and even heard him. Oh, he had no idea why all those men he used to work with didn't realise how vulnerable they were in this moment. Idiots, the lot of them. But Oswald, like this, so helpless in his desire? He loved that.
Edward was indeed skilled, even if Oswald was an easy target, he knew what he was doing even this first time. The way his tongue worked, the way his lips moved, the subtle vibrations every noise made. Oswald couldn't remember the last time he felt like this. He moaned at every touch, every move, he was so easily manipulated by his lust. He fingers gripped hard into Edward's hair and he looked down at him the whole time, just enchanted by the sight.
When he came, his legs almost gave out from under him and he gripped onto the wall to stay upright, out of breath and struggling to catch it. "Ed." He managed to get out before he laughed nervously, letting go of the other's hair.
Edward noticed how Oswald's legs buckled and he was on his feet immediately, his arms going around Oswald so he could help keep him upright. This could definitely go down as a success. He couldn't help the smugness, but there was a warmth that came with it. He really did care for Oswald then. Good to know, he hadn't wanted to play him. So he really was with the one he loved now.
"God, I'm sorry. That was just -- that was just a lot." Oswald laughed as he put his arms around Ed once more and pulled him into a kiss. Why not just go for it, why not steal a kiss while he could? He earned this. He earned Edward. And he was going to keep him as long as he could. Edward was his now, he belonged to him and he belonged to Edward. That was just how it worked, there was no other way around it.
Leaning into him once more, he used one hand to try and get his trousers back up and buttoned. "You're awfully skilled, Edward."
"I'm going to assume that's not a complaint." There was a certain number of moves he could make now. Bending him over the table seemed excessive and he'd have to clear it first, he didn't want to break any of Oswald's dishes. Going back to dinner seemed like a bad idea. Terrible, really, because the last thing on his mind right now was food and he didn't want to move away from Oswald. So it was option number three he'd go for, with an arm slung around his lover, moving him along until he could grab the open bottle of wine from the table. "To the bedroom, shall we?"
"Yes, oh my, yes Of course. You know the way, I'm sure." Oh God, they were going to the bedroom. They were going to do this. He let out an excited giggle that bordered a little on the crazy side but fortunately, crazy seemed to be their thing so he didn't feel too concerned about it. Instead, he kept moving beside him, a slight limp to his step as always, only a little more pronounced. It seemed foolish to go back for his cane and he liked this moment, he didn't want to change a thing or ruin it. He was just happy to be with Edward. His love no longer one-sided.
Edward kept his arm steadily around Oswald, so he could replace his cane for the moment. The mansion was entirely too big and it had never seemed bigger, but eventually they still made it there and Edward could let go of Oswald in order to lock the door. There was staff and henchmen around and he wanted to deal with neither. Instead he leaned back against the door, righting his glasses and smirking at Oswald. "You should get comfortable."
Once they were in his room, Oswald grinned like an idiot, knowing where this was going to lead. He was excited, really. Scared as hell too because he'd never so much as been intimate with anyone. Fish had joked about it a lot, offered to get him a hooker more than once but God, what would his mother have said if she'd have ever know? He couldn't even ignore the guilt he'd have felt. He had to wait for his true love.
And look at that, it finally worked out. He sat on the edge of his bed and started to undo his suit jacket, just to get a little air. It was starting to get hot in here. "Make yourself at home, this place is as much yours as mine. We share most things these days." He laughed and looked up at Edward, smiling nervously. "You should come here."
"I will," Edward promised, his eyes steadily on Oswald, "But first, you continue with that." He gestured to the suit jacket, his smile widening just a fraction. "Undress, if you please." A polite enough demand, he thought. He still didn't know where this was going, but he was beginning to feel very comfortable at the helm of it. "Fate, Oswald. I said it to you long ago. Things tend to happen for a reason, according to a plan. And you have been waiting for me."
"I had no idea what I expected from you, even back then, I just remembered how brilliant you were. What an asset you would me. I must confess, I had no idea about any of this until recent." He didn't have the foresight Edward had, he'd merely wanted a friend, someone on his side. At the time, Edward seemed perfect. And look at that, he was. He slowly unbuttoned his shirt as he spoke, shrugging out of it until his chest was bare. Not much to look at but hey, his mother always used to say he was handsome.
"I'm so very glad that I came for you. You were wasted in Arkham."
"You are so handsome, Oswald. I always knew that you were a great dresser, but it stands to reason that you'd perhaps look even more striking without clothes, as I see now. Perfection." Edward smiled at him, his eyes roaming where they would. He enjoyed that too, that Oswald undressed because he had told him to. That he'd do anything he'd tell him. Edward pushed away from the door, but stopped short of the bed, gesturing with his hand. "Can I request that you keep going or would that be too greedy? I would very much like to see all of you."
"Thank you, you're too kind." Oswald reached down and slowly began to untie his shoelaces, looking at Edward and just taking him in. So unbelievably handsome. He did wonder what he looked like shirtless, in fact he'd been wondering for well over a week now. He did some doodles too in duller office hours and way back when Butch was with them, he may have enquired just what Butch thought. Though Oswald very much doubted Edward was a 'skinny nerd under all those layers', he was curious anyway. "I can keep going but you have to do the same in return." He kicked off his shoes and shimmied out of his dress pants, kicking them off and tugging his socks away too. All he was left in was his black boxers. He looked up at Edward and smirked. "Your turn. I'm not showing it all until I see something from you."
Edward had taught himself the less that confidence was attractive quite a while ago now and it had served him well. So he merely shrugged and complied with the request, not pointing out that he had already seen 'all'. He had had 'all' in his mouth not that long ago. No need to point that out though. Instead he simply kicked off his shoes and then shrugged out of his jacket, folding it neatly before setting it aside. He unbuttoned his shirt next, pulled it out of his pants and then took it off so he could set it down on top of his jacket, down to only his pants.
"Oh." Oh. God. Woah. Oswald took a sharp inhale and almost forgot to exhale. In fact, he didn't breath out for a solid minute at least, he was too caught up staring. Those muscles, those well defined and strong arms, the way he held himself. He really was a dashingly handsome man. He wished he could take a picture and send it to Butch somehow. Though given recent circumstances, it seemed unwise. Finally, he breathed out and forced himself to look away.
"Good. Wouldn't want to disappoint." Edward finally made his way onto the bed, on his knees so he could straddle Oswald. He loved how he looked up at him, who wouldn't? Such adoration. Love, he supposed. He would still have to spend some time pondering this, but at the moment it was exactly what he wanted to see. "I wouldn't want to rush you into anything, Oswald. So tell me what you want from me."
"I want you. I want anything you'd give me." Oswald wasn't going to lie, he wanted a lot from him and there wasn't much that he would say no to. If Oswald didn't want to do something, he made it very clear and he'd have no problem kicking Edward off him. Hopefully. Edward was actually a lot stronger than he'd ever realised. "We don't have to rush but I want the same as you. Or I assume we want the same thing. Just us. Together."
